Welcome

I’m Dr. Michelle Solomon, a licensed clinical psychologist who works in partnership with my clients to help them feel better emotionally and physically.  We’ll collaborate using proven techniques that can help you transform the way you look at life and the way you confront and manage issues that trouble you.

I am located in Rhode Island and licensed to provide psychotherapy to residents of all PSYPACT states.

In my practice, I provide therapeutic support for a diverse range of concerns, including anxiety and worry, depression, negative thinking, social anxiety, feeling stuck, self-esteem, and confidence building. I understand the challenges faced by young adults and adults including perfectionism, procrastination, inattention. I also guide clients through life, shame and guilt, transitions, relationship dynamics, career changes, and aging. Additionally, I work with those in creative and entrepreneurial fields, offering support for the unique demands of those paths.

I work psychodynamically and strength focused.

I graduated from William James College in Massachusetts with a masters and doctoral degree in clinical psychology. My doctoral research involved understanding how social media affects what we think of ourselves and how that may influence our mental health.

During my training I worked at Butler Hospital, Bradley Hospital, the RISD Counseling Center, Beacon Assessment Center, Advocates, and several private practices throughout New England.
